Traffic restrictions in Ulsoor

Restrictions will be imposed in and around Old Madras Road in Ulsoor in view of the procession of around 60 idols to be taken out as part of religious rituals of Kamakshamma of Someshwara Swamy temple.

The police decided to impose restrictions as a large number of devotees are expected to gather on Swamy Vivekananda Road and the surrounding roads. The restrictions will be in force between 5 am on April  30 till the festival concludes on the evening on May 1.

Movement of all types of vehicles will be banned on the following stretches:

n Between Swamy Vivekananda Road and Trinity Circle on Old Madras Road.

n Between Begum Mahal on Ulsoor Road and Ramaiah Junction.

n Between 1st Cross Junction on Cambridge Road on Old Madras Road and Ramaiah Circle Junction on Old Madras Road.

n Between 2nd Cross on Ulsoor Jogupalya and Swamy Vivekananda Road Junction.
n Between Kamadhenu Junction and Ramaiah Junction.

n Between Jogupalya G Street and Ramaiah Circle.

Alternative arrangements

n Drivers moving towards KR Puram, Baiyappanahalli, Indiranagar and JB Nagar can move on Kensington Road and Murphy Road to join Old Madras Road. Those coming from KR Puram, Indiranagar and JB Nagar can move on Kensington Road, MEG Gate, Annaswamy Mudaliyar Road, Dickenson Road and MG Road.

n Those from Begum Mahal Junction and moving towards Bazar Street can move on Gurudwara Junction, Yellamma temple, Murphy Town, Tamarai Kannan Road.

n Those from Kamadhenu Junction and moving towards Ramaiah Circle can move on Trinity Circle, old airport and CB Road.
