The video clippings of violations will be uploaded to the website which can be seen by the violators.

The video cameras have been installed in 160 major traffic junctions of the City. Another 19 cameras will soon be installed at other junctions. With the help of camera images of violations, a notice will be served through the Traffic Management Centre and the video clippings will be uploaded to the Bangalore City Police website - http://www.bcp.gov.in. The violators can see the mistake committed by them by entering their notice number. The whole circumstances of violation will be played on the website. The software firm, 'Mind Tree' is providing the technical support to this project.

“The pilot project is already on and we are going to launch it as soon as possible,” Additional Commissioner of Police (traffic and safety) Praveen Sood told Deccan Herald. “Nobody is ready to admit their violations and many a times they demand proof. The video clippings have come handy in identifying the mistakes. Since we cannot invite everybody to the Traffic Management Centre to show the videos, we have decided to upload it on the website,” he said. “Anybody can access the clippings by clicking the particular links. Once the fine is paid, it will be deleted automatically,” Sood added.
