BJP MLA from Mahadevpura and former minister, Aravind Limbavali, was rushed to Narayana Health at Whitefield on Monday after he collapsed in Hoodi where he was invited to be a guest at a kabaddi tournament and felicitate the players.
Limbavali, who was distributing awards to the players, fainted and started bleeding from the mouth. This happened just minutes after BJP Karnataka president B S Yeddyurappa left the spot.
Limbavali is now being treated at the Coronary Care Unit in the hospital. He is under the supervision of Dr Jose Chacko, a senior cardiologist and intensivist.
Sources in the hospital said Limbavali was suffering from blood pressure, cardiac ailment and diabetes.
“This could possibly be due to the heat. Whether it was a heart attack would be confirmed only after investigations,” said a hospital authority.
Yeddyurappa visited Limbavali at the hospital.
