Parents are planning to take a march from Whitefield to the central business district on Sunday to protest what they describe as the exorbitant fees charged by private schools.
Waseem, a parent, said parents from across Bengaluru would take part in the protest. Apart from the hike in school fees, parents are also demanding a cap on transport and stationery charges.
On Wednesday, a group of 35 parents met the Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education, Kimmane Ratnakar, and submitted a memorandum.
The move follows a protest by parents against Whitefield Global School. Parents have demanded an inquiry against the school for charging huge fees.
