Workshaala, a startup ecosystem that provides customisable, unique and smart office space solutions to startups, SMEs and MNCs, is planning to increase its seating capacity.

“We started Workshaala Spaces in 2013 with a 40-seater premise in Bellandur and in the last one year, we have opened multiple offices in Bengaluru. Currently, we have close to 800 seats, and we are targeting over 2,000 seats by the next quarter,” Workshaala Spaces Founder and CEO Manoj Khandelwal told Deccan Herald, adding that they are targeting 1.5 lakh sq feet by the end of next quarter.

Facilities include maintenance, reception, internet, house-keeping, infrastructure,  electricity and security (swipe in/swipe out, CCTV cameras), among others.

Recently, Workshaala collaborated with TATA Industries to provide workspace solution to one of the TATA industries division with a fully-furnished ready-to-move in office space in Bengaluru comprising three floors with a total capacity of 200 seats.

Khandelwal claimed, “With Workshaala, startups can start their office in 30 minutes with entire infrastructure up and running. Workshaala gives companies the power to select the office space on ‘Pay-Per Requirement’ perspective.”

“We take premises on a long-term lease and then we furnish them based on the co-working plus individual cabins for companies and then lease out to them. We charge Rs 4,000- 5,000 per seat, and it varies from one startup to another,” Khandelwal said.

When asked about investments, he said, we have invested over $1 million including re-investments into the business.

On marketing strategies, “We target social media, the startup crowd and events. We also conduct events where lot of startups come and participate. We invite industry speakers to talk and guide and share their experiences with us,” he added.
