Gonzaga open rapid chess tournament at St Aloysius college on July 17

The Gonzaga open rapid chess tournament will be held at Loyola Hall in the St Aloysius College campus on July 17. It will be organised by Edgar’s Altinovo Solutions in association with St Aloysius Gonzaga CBSE School.

Addressing the media on Friday, Derik’s Chess School Administrator Prasanna Rao said that events will be held for 7-10-13-16 (Boys and girls) and open (men and women) categories. He informed that there will be a cash prize pool of Rs 25,000, trophies for the top three and cash prizes for the top five in each category.

The inaugural function will be held at 9 am with Daijiworld Media Managing Director Walter Nandalike as the chief guest.

Derik’s Chess School Founder Derik Pinto will be the guest of honour. Edgar’s Al Novo Solutions MD Edgar A J Pereira will preside over the function.

Closing ceremony

The valedictory ceremony will be held at 5.30 pm. Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim will be the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony. AIMIT Beeri Director Rev Fr Denzil Lobo will be the guest of honour.

Edgar’s Altinovo Solutions Founder and Managing Director Edgar A J Pereira said that they are planning for a solar plant which can power a thousand seven hundred homes.

Edgar’s Altinovo Solutions Administrator Priya and Global Data Systems CEO Errol Pereira were also present at the press meet.
