Flywheel Logistics to set up new facility in Bengaluru

Last Updated 23 July 2016, 17:29 IST

As part of its efforts to integrate business verticals, Delhi-based Flywheel Logistics is setting up a new warehouse facility and yard in Bengaluru.

Flywheel Logistics currently operates at over one million sq feet of warehousing space in 35 cities of 21 states with 45 operations.

“We currently offer both exclusive and multi-user warehouses to our clients. We have already embarked on the move to integrate some of our facilities so that larger operations can be accommodated. Recently, we finalised 1.5 acre facility on NH4 near Nelamangala just outside Bengaluru, which will house a large warehouse and also a container yard,” Flywheel Logistics COO (3PL business) Bhupinder Brar told DH.

“The facility will have a full-scale container yard, a fully-automated warehouse complex offering our clients pallet-level storage and also a hub where Express/LCL (less-than container load) cargo will be trans-shipped to various parts of the country,” Bhupinder added.

The Nelamangala facility connects Bengaluru to other major towns up north like Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad. It is on the northern periphery road and also connects to NH7 leading to Hyderabad and then to Nagpur. While going south, the facility provides an option to bypass Bengaluru city centre to go towards Coimbatore or  Chennai.

“We are investing close to Rs 6 crore in the new facility and it would be ready by October 2016. Going forward, the space could be expanded and we intend to do so once the GST is rolled out,” Bhupinder added.
