Police Sangha chief writes letter to CJI

V Shashidhar, president of Akhila Karnataka Police Maha Sangha who is in judicial custody for instigating the police to go on mass leave, has written to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) seeking protection.

Shashidhar, in his letter, has said that there is a plot hatched against him to defame and curtail his legitimate acts. He has requested the CJI to investigate the case filed against him and to order a CBI probe. Shashidhar was arrested on June 2 and the state government has booked various cases against him.
