Sathodi Falls, best known as the Niagara of Uttara Kannada, is one of the popular tourist attractions in the district. This waterfalls near Yellapur is formed by a rivulet, Dabbesala, which cascades down from a height of about 50 feet, before joining River Kali. The falls is about 30 km from Yellapur. One has to travel about five km on Yellapur-Hubballi Road (National Highway 63) and take a left turn from there and drive for 25 km. From there, one has to walk for about 800 metres into a thick forest to reach the majestic waterfalls.

Sathodi Falls is perennial and the ideal time to visit is from September to March. Watching the serene nature and water gushing down to the natural rock formations is an exhilarating experience in itself. Though it is a comparatively safer place to play in the waters, going close to the cascade can prove dangerous.

Since there is no public transport to the place, one has to depend on private vehicles. Earlier, the road leading to the falls was not motorable. But recently, the tourism department has improved the road and made the area more safe and convenient for tourists by installing railings and building concrete walkways. Magod Falls is another popular waterfalls in Yellapur.
