Investors of Tata Group stocks had something to cheer, as the markets ended the last trading day of Samvat 2072. Majority of the stocks from the group ended in the green after having lost nearly Rs 44,000 crore in market capitalisation over the last three days.

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) was the top gainer in the pack, ending up 4.38% at Rs 7.15. Tata Motors was the other top gainer, ending up 3.1% at Rs 349.30. Govt keeping ‘close watch’

Meanwhile, Ministry of State for Corporate Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal has said that the government is keeping a “close watch” on the developments relating to Tata-Mistry case, but does not want to “interfere” at present as it was an “internal matter” of a private group. He said the government has not received any representation from regulatory authorities about this issue and would “take note” as and when Sebi asks it to look into the matter in future.
