The Indian Institute of Management Bengaluru (IIMB) has entered the seventh annual regional finals of the Hult Prize competition.

The team will now compete at the Hult Prize regional finals in March 2017, which will be hosted at one of the Hult International Business School’s five campuses in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai and Shanghai.

The Hult Prize is a crowdsourcing platform for social good. In partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative, the crowdsourcing platform identifies and launches disruptive and catalytic social ventures that aim to solve pressing challenges.

This year, the Hult Prize is focused around finding solutions for building sustainable, scalable, social enterprises that restore the rights and dignity of 10 million refugees by 2022.

The Hult Prize at IIMB was launched on October 4. The winning team members from IIM, Bengaluru include Akshay Kumar, Devendra Meel, Parijat Panja and Rujhan Gupta, whose idea is called ‘Socio-Tech Alpha’.

All four are currently pursuing their post-graduate programme in management at IIMB.
