Sunil's ton spurs Young Pioneer

An unbeaten ton from Sunil Kumar BR spurred Young Pioneer Cricket Club to massive 161-run win over Dolphins Cricket Club in the KSCA Group I, Division IV league cum knockout tournament for the Metro Shield here.

Young Pioneer posted a healthy 319 for five in their stipulated 50 overs as Sunil top scored with 125 not out. Vinod (58), Kiran (52) and Sharath (45) also played handy knocks to add to the total.

Having to chase at over six-an-over, Dolphins were restricted by Young Pioneer’s bowling attack and finished their innings on 158 all out in 34.5 overs.

Wassem topped the wickets column with figures of three for five, while Sharath (2/21) and Madan YB (2/28) grabbed two apiece.

In another fixture, Nirav Varma (113) and Vikas (117 n.o.) helped Palar Sports Club to a 49-run win.
