DPS, South trounce Vidyaniketan

Delhi Public School (South) continued their big-scoring ways as they trounced Vidyaniketan Public School, Ullal, by 407 runs in the KSCA Cup Under-14 (Group I, I Division) cricket tournament here.

DPS boys had posted 500-plus runs in their win over Presidency School in the BTR Trophy match a few days back and they went one better as they hit up 539 for six in 50 overs against Vidyaniketan.

Siddharth Y (132) and Ajitesh G (125) hammered centuries to lead the DPS run glut. Vidyaniketan could muster only 132 for four in their 50 overs to suffer a drubbing.

Delhi Public School, North: 252/8 in 50 overs (Anirudh 29, Kausthubh 34, Shreyas 38, Ninad 91 n.o, Ashish 2/19, Vinay 2/37) bt St Joseph’s Indian High School: 172/ 9 in 50 overs (Gagan 52, Ashish 36, Abhilash 2/31, Shreyas S 4/41).

Presidency School, Nandini Layout: 100 all out in 40.5 overs (Sanjay Krishnamurthy 3/15, Smaran R 2/16, Amitesh Lakshmikanth 3/21) lost to Ebenezer International School: 101/ 1 in 13.2 overs (Vishal Onat 28 n.o, Rajvir Wadhwa 44).

Bishop Cotton Boys School: 335/ 8 in 50 overs (Neil C 146, Jay Bohra 42, Nahshon S 39, Dhanush Gowda R 2/46, Karan V Gowda 2/59) bt Max Muller High School: 90/9 in 50 overs (Neil C 2/15, Avinash Raj 5/17).
