Along with book launches, exhibitions and merchandise from across the world, the event will see one of the biggest cosplay competitions in Delhi where the winner of each day will get a chance to enter ‘Indian Championships of Cosplay’.

“We head into our sixth year in Delhi and it is bigger and better than ever before. Tons of new exhibitors, activities and exclusives events will take this place this time.

We have a lot more on offer for fans and we hope to provide Delhi its biggest pop-culture event of the year,” says Jatin Varma, founder, Comic Con India.

In a first, there will be WWE zone at the event. People will get to experience a grand stage adorned with huge LED wall. It will allow fans to select their favourite WWE superstar’s entrance music, as they make their way down the specially created ramp. It is a chance for fan to feel, act, and enter the ring just like their favourite WWE superstar.  

J Elliot, the official Walt Disney World DJ will be attending the event. The pop event will also include special sessions from Erik Larsen — co-founder of Image Comics — an American cartoonist known for his work on Savage Dragon and Spider Man for Marvel Comics; and Tom Richmond — caricaturist, cartoonist and humorous illustrator for MAD Magazine, Cartoon Network and National Geographic.

There will also be an ‘Artist Alley’ at the event. It will be a zone exclusively featuring artists from all over India and Delhi. It will give fans an opportunity to interact with illustrators and designers working for comics and related fields. Saumin Patel, Aniruddho Chakraborty, Akshay Dhar, Shamik Dasgupta, Rajeev Tamahakar, Sumit Kumar, Parmi Jethwani, Reshmi Chandrashekhar, Nikita Das Gupta, Rohit Soni, Rohan Bhatia and many more will be a part of this zone.

The main participants of DCC 2016 are Harper collins Publishers India, Campfire Graphic Novel, Viz Media by Simon amd Schuster, Graphic India, Vimanika Comics, DC, Dark Horse and Vertigo Comics by Random House India, Dorling Kindersley India, Red Streak Publications, TBS Planet, Sirji Comics, ICBM Comics, Holy Cow Entertainment, Yali Dream Creations and many more.

Tickets for the event will be available on the event’s website as well as at the venue. The tickets will be priced at Rs 375 for a single day and Rs 675 for a VIP ticket which will allow entry on all three days. Only a limited number of these VIP tickets — which can be booked online only — will be issued. 

Another ticketing category called Buddy Pass for Rs 1,875, which is especially designed for people coming in groups. Five people who book the buddy pass will get access to the show with exclusive (limited edition) set of five wristbands created only for this year’s event.  Alto Delhi Comic Con 2016 will be held from December 9 to December 11 at NSIC Grounds, Okhla.
