Moving a step forward in space technology, the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) will launch the country’s first indigenous remote sensing satellite RESOURCESAT-2A on December 7 from Sriharikota.

India’s most trusted workhorse, the PSLV, in its thirty-seventh flight (PSLV-C36), will carry and place the 1,235 kg RESOURCESAT-2A into an 817km polar Sun Synchronous Orbit.

“After getting clearance from the Mission Readiness Review (MRR) committee and the Launch Authorisation Board (LAB), the PSLV-C36 is scheduled to be launched on Wednesday at 10.24 am from the first launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR,” a senior spokesperson from Isro said.
