BAC emerge champs

Prasidha creates fourth record in boys' Group II

Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre (BAC) emerged overall champions with 1176 points in the 17th State Short Course swimming championship here on Friday.

On the final day, Prasidha Krishna PA of Global Swim Centre maintained his good run and created another record in the boys’ Group II 100M butterfly event. He clocked 59.83 seconds to erase the previous mark of 1:00.87, set by Aaron D’souza of BAC, in 2006.

Prasidha (242 points) also bagged the individual championship in this category.In the girls’ Group-II 50M breaststroke, Saloni Dalal of BAC timed 35.81 seconds to finish first. 

She wiped off the record of 36.66 seconds, set by Deeksha Ramesh of Global Swim Centre in 2011. Saloni (183 points) clinched the Individual honours in this category.
