Late Mahadeva Prasad's wife likely to join politics

 M C Mohan Kumari (Geetha Mahadeva Prasad), wife of late cooperation minister H S Mahadeva Prasad, who died on January 3, would be the Congress party candidate from the Gundlupet Assembly constituency for the upcoming by-election. The by-election is necessitated following the death of Prasad, who represented the constituency.

Speaking to reporters after performing the third-day rituals of Prasad at his farmhouse in Halahalli, Gundlupet taluk, Geetha said she would decide about politics after the 11th day death ritual of Prasad.

She said she would take further decision as per the suggestions of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and seer Shivarathri Deshikendra Swami of Suttur Mutt. “My husband worked hard for the development of the constituency. It is imperative for me to take additional responsibility to continue his good works.”
