Ramanath Rai hospitalised

Minister for Forest and Ecology B Ramanath Rai was admitted to M S Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru on Thursday after he complained of pain in the chest while exercising.

Rai was examined by a team of cardiologists at the hospital. They said he is likely to be discharged on Friday. “He is a known patient of hypertension. It might be due to over exertion during exercise that he has experienced pain in the chest. There was a slight variation in ECG and he has been treated for that. His condition is stable,” a senior specialist from the hospital said.
