The High Court of Karnataka on Thursday permitted another 20 allottees of the ‘G’ category sites to go ahead with construction of houses after the Justice A M Farooq committee submitted its sixth report in relation to allotment of 37 ‘G’ category sites.

Hearing the PIL challenging irregularities in the allotment of ‘G’ category sites, Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice R B Budihal directed Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) to execute the sale deed in favour of 20 allottees.

The bench directed BDA to execute the sale deed in favour of 20 allottees in one month for sites whose lease-cum-sale agreement has completed 10 years.

The court said among the 20 allottees, if the lease-cum-sale agreement has not crossed 10 years, BDA should execute the sale deeds one month after the lease-cum-sale agreements complete 10 years.
