KSRTC to start package tour to Tirupati

The KSRTC is collaborating with Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation to operate package tours from Bengaluru to Tirupati-Tirumala.

Both the corporations signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday to begin the package tour from May 12. The KSRTC has plans to introduce package tours to other tourist and pilgrimage centres.

The package tour includes travel by Airavat multi-axle bus, breakfast, lunch, ‘shigra darshan’ at Tirumala and transit between Tirupati-Tirumala. The tour will start from Bengaluru at 10 pm and the return journey begins same time next day.


The weekday fare is fixed at Rs 2,000 while those opting to travel on weekends have to shell out Rs 2,500.

Weekend fares are applicable for departures from Bengaluru on Friday and Saturday. Commuters can book tickets online or through KSRTC’s authorised counters.
