Pervert sneakily films woman; calls her 'sister' when caught

Uma Mageswari, a resident of Singapore travelling in a metro caught a man filming her and exposed him on Facebook.

Uma who was on her way to Harbourfront boarded the metro at 7.40pm on Saturday at Outram Mass Rapid Transit(MRT).

She noticed a man who walked towards her and took the seat opposite to her, though there were many empty seats. He took his phone out and started to record her movements.

Uma could clearly sense his actions through the reflections of his phone on the window pane. She quickly recorded his actions with her phone and then confronted him. But he tried to convince her by giving irrelevant reasons.

The MRT staff came up to her support an encountered the man. When questioned further, they found that the man “Suraj”, was travelling with an employment pass and also had many such footagein his phone.

But, even after being caught he tried to defend himself by calling her as “sister”. Annoyed by his actions and to create an awareness about such issues, Uma shared this instance on her Facebook account.   

Many applauded the lady for dealing with the pervert wisely, while some criticised on the attire she wore and also asked why she did not shift to some other seat.
