The Green Path-Forgotten Food’ in Malleswaram offers organic food choices and also provides a suitable venue for eco-friendly get-togethers. But worry not, the food here isn’t bland and boring. Rather, it’s wholesome and tasty.

The place has a nice relaxed ambience and does justice to the name with plenty of refreshing greens around. The decor is simple yet lively. The furniture and flooring are made out of waste wood. And everything you eat here comes from the terrace garden that’s right above the restaurant. The food, they say, is completely organic.

Previously a lawyer, Jayaram started this restaurant last year. Hailing from a small village on the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border, he has a deep-rooted attachment with nature. He started this place as a part of the ‘Good Food Movement’ and has helped change people’s perspective on organic food.
The lunch buffet is thoughtfully planned out and includes traditional dishes with millets as the main ingredient.

Ever thought you could eat an organic pizza? Well, chef Kiran at the eatery prepares an organic pizza that is gluten-free and has a millet dough base which is just as tasty yet healthy.

Breaking the misconception that organic food is unappetising, the place offers cakes, smoothies, snacks and many other delicious dishes while promoting traditional cuisine that has been long forgotten. The organic jackfruit ice cream is another must try here. The place also offers food for vegans.

The service is courteous and pleasing. The chef and the manager personally attend to the customers and ensure that they have a nice time.

The restaurant stands out for its uniqueness and delicious food. Also, anyone who visits the place gets a sapling, which is something worth appreciating.

They also conduct workshops, events and exhibitions where you can find a wide range of organic products. Do not forget to pay a visit to their beautiful terrace garden.  It is located at No 185/1, opposite Metro Station, Rajeev Gandhi Circle, Sampige Road. For details, call 23569777.
