Online booking popular among travellers

Travellers appear to be motivated by online travel deals more than loyalty towards an airline or a hotel, according to a study by CashKaro.com.

The cashback and coupons portal has analysed reponses from 2,000 customers regarding their travel preferences to find that 59% travellers focus on deals over brand loyalty, and 91% of them preferred booking tickets online instead of choosing travel agencies.

MakeMyTrip was the most preferred portal for ticket bookings and hotel bookings.
MakeMyTrip was followed by Goibibo, Paytm and Yatra for ticket bookings.

Additionally, 49% respondents said that lower prices of tickets and hotels is the main factor that they consider when deciding to make a booking, while 43% mentioned that in addition to the price, they considered all the other ongoing deals and offers on a particular website when making their decision.
