Officials from KEA and Comed-K addressed students and parents, clarifying their doubts regarding the counselling process.

Executive director of KEA, K S Manjunath, said the results of the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2017, held on May 2 and 3, will be declared on Tuesday, May 30. “We handed out a brochure to all students who wrote the exam. It is the Bible for CET students as it contains all information regarding counselling schedule, participating colleges, number of seats and so on,” he said.

The document verification process for reservation categories such as differently abled students, NCC, sports and defence will be conducted on June 1, 2 and 3, he said. For other students, the process will be conducted between June 5 and 21. “This will be held in 16 centres. This year, we have added a new centre in Koppal district,” Manjunath said.

A S Ravi, public relations officer of KEA, instructed students to be careful during the online option entry process. He instructed students to look carefully at the seat matrix to understand how many seats are available for different courses in the participating colleges.

Prof Rama Rao, who is a member of the committee in the Comed-K seat selection process, told students about the preparations students should make before the actual counselling starts. “Go to colleges and find out what courses they are offering. Visit the stalls at this expo and ask about their college and hostel infrastructure, job placements and campus recruitment,” he said.
