A masked man made a failed bid to rob an ATM kiosk at Peenya II Stage in the wee hours of Monday. The incident occurred at the Vijaya Bank ATM in Old Paragon Factory building and captured on CCTV camera, police said.
A police officer said two men were involved in the attempt - one who tried to break open the kiosk and another keeping vigil outside. Usually, the ATM is locked after 11 pm by a security guard and is opened at 6 am the next day.
The miscreants had broke open the locks of the shutters and attempted to tamper with the ATM. Rajgopalnagar police have registered a case.
