The Southeast division police have arrested a gang of four involved in over half a dozen robberies and extortion cases in and around the city.

Two of the arrested, Puneet (25) and Satish (33), are habitual offenders who are involved in several criminal cases. They were arrested in a murder case  and remanded in judicial custody. However, they secured bail and came out.

To pay their advocate who got them out on bail, they ganged up with Devaraju (22) and Raghu (20) and committed robberies, extortion and vehicle thefts in Koramangala, Kunigal, Magadi, Jnanabharathi and Parappana Agrahara areas. Police have recovered gold chains worth Rs 2.6 lakh and four motorcycles worth Rs 2 lakh from them.
