Intermittent rain in several parts of state

Intermittent rain lashed several parts of the state on Wednesday.


Shivamogga, Hosanagar, Thirthahalli, Bhadravathi and Sagar in Shivamogga received a good spell of rain. The water level in Linganamakki dam rose to 1,760.65 feet against maximum level of 1,819 feet. The inflow of water was 8,600 cusecs.

Rain receded in Kodagu. The district received an average of 9.44 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours (ending on 8 am on Wednesday). It has received an average of 765.85 mm rainfall since January.

The details of rain in various hoblis are as follows: Madikeri Kasaba - 14.2 mm, Napoklu - 5.4 mm, Sampaje -12.2 mm, Bhagamandala -21.6 mm, Srimangala - 7.2 mm, Somwarpet - 16 mm, Shanivarasanthe - 10 mm, Shanthalli - 14 mm, Kodlipete - 19.2 mm and Suntikoppa -10 mm.

In Uttara Kannada district, heavy rain lashed Siddapura while Honnavar, Bhatkal, Mundgod, Haliyal and Sirsi witnessed drizzling. The district received a total of 155.7 mm of rain in the last 24 hours.
Intermittent rain also lashed Kalaburagi city and surrounding areas on Wednesday evening.
