Abhishek Reddy stole the show with a quick-fire double century for President’s XI against Bangalore Zone in a Safi Darashah tournament fixture at RSI ground here on Monday.
President’s resumed their innings at 151/1, in pursuit of Bangalore Zone’s 233 all out, with Reddy on 75. The right-hander picked up from where he had left off on Sunday and went from strength to strength to notch up 201 off just 193 balls with the help of 23 fours and six sixes.
Mir Kaunain Abbas (54) also made a valuable contribution as President’s amassed 400 for six declared from 71 overs.
Trailing by 167 runs, Bangalore Zone batsmen dished out a reasonable display to reach 131/3 in 29.1 overs when the match ended. Samarth Ooty top-scored for Bangalore with 72.
