Kunal, Joshi slam contrasting tons

Duo's effort helps President's XI post 369/9 on opening day

 Kunal Kapoor and Anirudha Joshi struck centuries as KSCA President’s XI piled a competitve score on the opening day of their fixture against Andhra Cricket Association in the Dr (Capt) K Thimmappaiah memorial tournament at RSI ground on Saturday.

Batting first, President’s XI were 369 for 9 at stumps on day one. Skipper Kapoor scored 129 from 184 balls with the aid of 18 fours, while Joshi scored a-run-a-ball 111 in an innings studded with 10 fours and five maximums. The duo also shared a fourth wicket partnership of 168 from 220 balls.

Samarth dazzles

In another match, R Samarth, recently picked in the India ‘A’ side that will tour South Africa, made a patient 124 off 217 balls for KSCA XI against Assam Cricket Association.
KSCA were in strong position with the scoreboard reading 343 for three after the opening day.
