Peace and security must for development says Rijiju

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju said that Peace and Security must prevail if any country has to progress and develop.  He was the chief guest at the Youth Convention organized by National Service Scheme and Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Sangathan here on Thursday.

Rijiju further said that a robust security system needs to be in place to face various challenges be it cross border terrorism, drug trafficking, counterfeiting or any other problem. The Centre is always underlining the need for sharing of intelligence between countries to efficiently counter terrorism and other threat at every international forum, he said.

He said money and position should not be used as a measure of the success of an individual and advised the youth to achieve success searching for meaningful employment and contribute to national development. That is the reason Prime Minister Modi’s Government is giving importance to developing in skilled labour, he added. The Minister also fielded questions by students on various issues.
