The second edition of the Under 25 Lit Festival will be held at CoWrks at Indiranagar. After last year’s success, the organisers are hoping for a much bigger turnout this time around.

The organisers had roped in the likes of Jeet Thayil, Durjoy Datta and a few other popular writers in the inaugural edition. This year, they boast of an equally brilliant lineup of authors and speakers. Former Union minister Margaret Alva will set the ball rolling by speaking on the topic ‘The Importance of Courage and Commitment in Today’s World’, followed by a session on ‘Can fiction writing be taught or is it inborn’.

Vinayak Loysum, a software engineer by profession but musician by choice, will perform for the audience. This will be followed by an interactive session titled ‘The Best Seller Code’ with Preeti Shenoy. Slam poet, Aranya Johar who shot to fame with her poem on gender discrimination on Women’s Day this year, will conduct a session on ‘The Art of Self Expression’. Followed by a music act by Aishwarya Suresh, and a session with Shrabonti Bagchi. The last session of the day will see Varun Agarwal talk about how to get from the final draft of your book or story and get it published. So expect a lot of, poetry, prose and music to set the tone for next week.
