BJP to ready charge sheet against govt

The state BJP will soon come out with a charge sheet against the Siddaramaiah government, highlighting “rampant corruption, collapse of law and order and mal-administration” during its four-and-a-half-year regime.

Party state president B S Yeddyurappa told reporters after inaugurating the state executive committee meeting of the BJP Slum Morcha here on Tuesday that the charge sheet is being prepared meticulously on the “total collapse of governance” in the state with precise instances.

He said the party is in the process of collecting and collating instances of corruption in various departments. “The government’s collusion with the land mafia will also be exposed,” Yeddyurappa said.
He said thousands of party cadre will fan out to the nook and corners of the state and distribute the charge sheet to households.

Replying to a query, Yeddyurappa said a BJP delegation from Karnataka will shortly call on the chief ministers of Maharashtra and Goa to convince them to hold talks with the state in order to find an out-of-the-court solution to the Mahadayi river water dispute.
“We will try to convince the two chief ministers to offer water for drinking purpose. But at the same time, I want (chief minister) Siddaramaiah to convince his party leaders who are in the opposition in Maharashtra and Goa,” Yeddyurappa said.
