Rain likely for next three days

The sudden downpour on Sunday morning coupled with drop in temperatures left Bengalureans nostalgic. Weathermen have forecast rain in the city for the next two to three days.

The city till 5.30 pm on Sunday received 11.6 mm rainfall. With this, the the total rainfall in the city for September (till 17th) went up to 363.7 mm against the normal of 211.7 mm. According to IMD records, this is the highest rainfall the city has received since 2005 for the month of September. It beat the record of 345.8 mm in 2009 and monthly total of 352.6 mm recorded in 2013. However, the all-time record rain for September is 516.6 mm in 1986.

The BBMP did not record any waterlogging in the city. One tree fall was reported at the BDA park in Girinagar.
