The High Court of Karnataka has issued notice to the managing director of Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited in a petition seeking to quash the BMRCL's Conduct, Discipline and Appeal (CDA) Rules, 2014.
Justice B Veerappa ordered emergent notice in a petition filed by BMRCL Union which also sought to prosecute the managing director. The petitioner has contended that the CDA Rules has been framed without any authority and it is not even gazetted.
Citing the rule, employees are issued charge sheet and their increment withheld whenever they express their grievance or exercise their right, the petitioner stated. The Union has sought directions to quash the CDA Rules, adopt a standing order to frame rules and to also prosecute the MD.
