The sudden downpour on Tuesday evening left Bengalureans stranded.  The rain lasted for a short spell, but caused much inconvenience.

Weathermen have cautioned people of more such spells in the coming days.

Heavy rainfall warning

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall across the city and more parts of south interior Karnataka. The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall warning also for September 28, in most parts of Karnataka. There is also an east-west sheer zone along latitude 14 degree north between 1.5 and 5.8 kms above mean sea level, tilting southwards with height persists.

While the city did not receive any rainfall till 5.30 pm, up to 8.30 pm it received 9.2 mm. The HAL airport received 4.5 mm.
