U Mumba beat Bengaluru Bulls 42-30 in the inter-zone contest of the Pro Kabaddi League on the concluding day of Delhi leg at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex on Thursday.

The defeat for Bulls, who are in fifth place in Zone B, has further slimmed their chances of qualification. U Mumba, on the other, have jumped to the third place in Zone A. The two sides made a measured start before Kashiling Adake came into his own and single-handedly pushed Mumbai team’s scoring with his scintillating raids.

By the time the match ended, he had won 17 raid points from 16 raids. In fact, Kashi picked 15 of his raid points in the first half itself. In the process, he also joined the 500 raid point club.

The Bengaluru side had no answers for Kashi.  He got to his Super 10 with a super raid. Shortly after he had clinched another four points super raid for Mumba, he got away from an ankle hold and bulldozed his way through four Benagluru defenders.

Kashi was well complimented by his captain Anup Kumar, who picked five points, and Surinder Singh in the defence. Surinder earned six tackle points to halt Bengaluru’s charge.

For Bulls, Rohit Kumar led by example, but the others, barring the exception of Harish Naik, did little to rise to the occasion. By half time, Mumba had opened up a lead of 23-13.

On resumption, Mumba continued with their dominating ways to win.
