The Division of Public Health, KS Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte University, has received the 2017 University of Minnesota, School of Public Health Global Partner Award. The award has been conferred considering the contributions of the Division of Public Health in academics, global health exchange programmes and rural health care. The award will be presented at the 14th Annual Community Partners Celebration on November 1, at the Minneapolis, Twin Cities Campus.

The School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, hosts a month long summer school for the MPH students of Nitte University every year. This initiative is ably reciprocated by the Division of Public Health, Nitte University, by accepting their MPH students for the Nitte Winter School every year.
