Drama contest

Ranghabhoomi is organising the 38th state-level drama competition from November 18 to December 2 at Ravindra Mantap in MGM College.

Speaking to reporters here, Ranghabhoomi president Tallur Shivaram Shetty said that as many as 15 theatre plays would be screened on the occasion. As many as four teams from Bengaluru, three from Mysuru, two from Mangaluru, one each from Kalburagi, and Shivamogga and four teams from Udupi would be participating. An honorarium of Rs 5,000 would be given to the participating teams, he added.

The programme would be inaugurated by MGM College principal Kusuma Kamath while district Kannada and Culture department deputy director Mahadevaiah will preside.
