Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray's son Amit got engaged to his girlfriend Mitali Borude on Monday.
The date of the marriage would be announced soon.
The engagement function was attended by close family members and friends.
The 25-year-old Amit, who is a commerce graduate from DG Ruparel College, and Mitali (fashion designer) are said to have been dating for the last few years.
Mitali who owns a clothes label called 'The Rack' is a friend of Amit's sister Urvashi.
So far, Amit has not entered politics, but he is often seen accompanying his father during campaign trails.
