Man held for stealing gadgets

A 30-year-old man was arrested for stealing expensive gadgets from malls and sports retail marts around the city.

The Kothanur police arrested Syed Balli, of Kammanahalli, when he was reportedly trying to sell a stolen expensive camera on Tuesday.

During the interrogation, Balli confessed that he would visit malls and shops as a customer and steal expensive gadgets by concealing them in his undergarments.

Balli also confessed that he recently visited a mall and stole eyeglasses, torches, binoculars and CCTV cameras worth Rs 45,000. He has been stealing for the past two years after he did not get any job, the police said.
