The Congress party has lodged a complaint with the police seeking action against Deepak Avasthi, Managing Director, CHS Surveys, for uploading results of a false survey on social media.

In a complaint with the cyber crime police, K E Radha Krishna, KPCC vice president, said that Avasthi uploaded reports of a false survey to tarnish his party's image in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Avasthi has his office at Dollars Colony in JP Nagar.

Avasthi had stated that the survey was conducted in December 2017 based on KPCC president G Parameshwara's directions predicting 76 seats to the Congress party.

Radha Krishna termed the predictions as misleading and sought stern action against Avasthi for falsely using Parameshwara's name.
