When Netanyahu took selfies with Bollywood

Israel and Bollywood can create magic, said visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as he shared some lighter moments and took selfies with Bollywood stars.

Speaking at 'Shalom Bollywood', a dinner meet at the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower in Mumbai, Netanyahu said Israel likes Bollywood. "Israel likes Bollywood... I like Bollywood," he said to thunderous applause.

As he ended his speech, Netanyahu left aside protocol and called Amitabh Bachchan and other celebrities onto the stage for a selfie. Using a selfie stick, he took photos amid cheers.

"We have snow, we have beaches, we have deserts, we have a salt sea and sweet lake," he said, inviting filmmakers to shoot in Israel and forge partnerships with technology giants.

Earlier, producer Ronnie Screwvala and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan formally welcomed Netanyahu and wife Sara.

Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, Karan Johar, Subhash Ghai, Madhur Bhandarkar, Randhir Kapoor, Prahlad Kakkar and Prasoon Joshi, who is also the censor board chairman, were present.
