The city police commissioner on Thursday submitted a report before the Karnataka High Court on the progress made by the Special Investigation Team, constituted to trace Kumar Ajitabh.
Ajitabh, a techie has been missing since December 18.
Justice A S Bopanna was hearing a petition filed by Ajitabh's father, Ashok
Kumar Sinha, who had moved the court, seeking directions for a CBI inquiry in the case.
The commissioner informed the court that he is taking the assistance of central crime branch with regard to the investigation.
The matter was adjourned to February 20.
