Youth beaten up by MLA's son still recuperating

Vidwath, the victim of the Saturday night brawl is still recuperating at the Mallya Hospital.

According to Dr S Mallikarjuna, head of operations at the hospital, Vidwath has suffered a nasal fracture and severe facial injuries caused due to the attack. “There is no need for any surgical intervention for his injuries, we have administered some antibiotics and pain killers and have asked him to rest. Vidwath is doing fine otherwise, he will have to stay in the hospital for some time”, he added.

Vidwath was attacked by Shantinagar MLA's son Mohammed Nalapad and his friends on Saturday night at Farzi Cafe in UB City after a verbal dual between him and Nalapad's gang. The MLA, Haris, has been expelled from the Congress for a period of six years while his son has surrendered himself before the Cubbon Park Police.
