The state government on Tuesday introduced the Karnataka Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Bill, 2018, in the Assembly.
The Bill seeks to deliver subsidies and benefits through Aadhaar identification and proposes to implement Direct Benefit Transfer system for delivering subsidies, benefits, services, grants and wages using Aadhaar number as identification of the beneficiaries. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah tabled the Bill in the Assembly.
