Dakshina Kannada district Wakf Advisory Board will conduct an orientation programme for the masjid committee members, khatibs and students at Mohiyuddin Jumma Masjid in Mittabail, Bantwal, on February 24 at 2 pm.
Addressing reporters here on Thursday, District Wakf Advisory Committee Chairman U K Monu Kanachuru said that the programme will be inaugurated with a dua to be performed by Abdul Jabbar Mittabail. District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai will preside, Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader will take part.
Information will be provided about the various facilities provided by the Wakf Board such as cremation assistance, medical aid, student scholarships, loans and so on.
District Wakf Officer Aboobakar, Wakf Advisory committee members Nooruddin Salmar and Umar Fajeer were present in the press meet.
