Actor Shiva Rajkumar paid a visit to Vidwath, who is receiving treatment at Mallya Hospital, on Thursday.

The actor said, "When I heard about the incident and saw him on television, I felt bad and ashamed at what happened."

He wondered where the society was heading. "I felt bad and I don't know where we are doing mistakes and why are we making mistakes. Why are we trying to prove that we are strong? Time will decide who is responsible for this," he said, adding, "only god can save us."

"Such things should not happen in society. Crime is a crime irrespective of who does it. Law will take its own course," he said.

"I did not enter the ICU to avoid any kind of infection to Vidwath. I did not want to disturb him. I saw him through the glass door. He is unable to speak," Shiva Rajkumar added.

The actor said that Vidwath had come to his home to attend a pooja.

"He is like my son. Whenever we went on a trip, Vidwath used to join us. I pray to God to give him the strength to get well soon," the actor said.

Earlier, former deputy chief minister R Ashoka and former ministers B Sriramulu and G Janardhan Reddy visited Vidwath.
