The 10th edition of Bengaluru International Film Festival kickstarted on a star-spangled note. Actors from across film industries turned up on the occasion to catch up with the old times.

Yesteryear heroines Sumalatha Ambareesh, Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Pramila Joshai and Hema Chaudhary were seen sharing a light moment at the event.

While Pramila Joshai says she looks forward to occasions like this, Bharathi and Sumalatha admitted their meetings are routine.Sharing her perspective, Pramila Joshai says, "We are all busy with our own lives and work. We hardly get a chance to spend some quality time together. I was personally thrilled to meet Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhan. I can say that I was inspired to join the film industry because of her. She is always so well-dressed and she is genuinely concerned about her co-stars. I am sure that she has inspired many," says Pramila.

Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, is thrilled that the state government is doing its bit to promote and popularise Kannada films. "Occasions like this actually strengthen our bond and bring us closer together. Even if we don't get to meet as often as we would have liked to, we always call on each other and find excuses to keep that warmth intact," she says.

Sumalatha Ambareesh says that most of conversations at meetings and social gatherings revolve around old times. "These meetings give us an occasion to recall our moments together and how the industry has changed. This becomes the central point of our conversations," says Sumalatha.
