The Election Commission on Friday censured Madhya Pradesh Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia for her comments on the denial of benefits of government scheme to persons voting for the Congress.
The commission also advised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to be more careful while making public speeches at a time when the Model Code of Conduct is in force in the state, with reference to his promise to build a bridge in Mungaoli Assembly segment.
Bypolls for Mungaoli and Kolaras Assembly seats are scheduled to be held on Saturday.
The commission also issued notice to Madhya Pradesh Minister Maya Singh over a complaint of alleged intimidation of voters in the Mungaoli assembly seat.
