Union Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation Ramesh Jigajinagi, on Saturday, charged that the state government was not fully utilising the funds provided by the union government for implementing drinking water supply schemes.

"Out of the funds provided by the Centre, Rs 120 crore is still pending with the state government," he said.

He told mediapersons here that the Centre was planning the 'Ghar Ghar Me Nal' programme, under which all houses in the country would have water connection by 2032. Around Rs 5 lakh crore was required for this scheme, while discussion and planning were going on to implement it, he said.

All-India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi's visit would not have any impact on the people of the state as they knew what the Congress was, Jigajinagi said.
